The MRC and the American Recovery Reinvestment Act (ARRA)

The MRC is pleased to act as the coordinating Division of the City of Marietta for federal and state grants opportunities. This site will attempt to provide current active grant opportunities for all of our Community Partners. What This Act Means

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act was created for making supplemental appropriations for job preservation and creation, infrastructure investment, energy efficiency and science, assistance to the unemployed, and State and local fiscal stabilization.

8/4/2010 Camp Dresser & McKee held their Project Kickoff Meeting for the HVAC project at the City of Marietta
7/23/2010 Phase 2 of The Roswell Street Pedestrian Improvements Project in the amount of $1,048,000 was funded by ARRA funds. 7/19/2010 Camp Dresser & McKee were selected to provide professional services to the City of Marietta in preparation for HVAC construction project on City Hall & the Fire/Police Station
7/1/2010 The City of Marietta submitted their 3rd quarterly Federal Report for the EECBG to the Department of Energy. To see the 2nd report, go to: www.recovery.gov and look at grants awarded to the State of Georgia.
6/23/2010 You can now view the City’s Stimulus Project map, which includes all the projects in progress with ARRA grant funds. More information
6/15/2010 The bid process for Request for Qualifications (RFQ) on the HVAC Retrofit of City Hall closed on Tuesday, June 15th.  This project will be funded by the Dept. of Energy under the EECBG funds.  The evaluation committee will review the qualifications in the upcoming weeks.
5/10/2010 Department of Energy staff conducted a site visit with City staff to discuss the progress of EECBG projects.

4/9/2010

The City of Marietta’s Light Emitting Diode Project was completed on Friday, April 9, 2010.

4/7/2010

The City of Marietta submitted their 2nd quarterly Federal Report for the EECBG to the Department of Energy. To see the 1st report, go to: www.recovery.gov and look at grants awarded to the State of Georgia.

Marietta Board of Lights & Water contractor Southern Home Performance has completed 4 Energy Audits under the Energy Efficiency Conservation Block Grant.
